Dear Readers,
You know, every time I feel lost and confused I try to answer the following question, 'What would Anna Wintour do?' or 'What would Anna Wintour wear?'. Well, after seeing what she wore yesterday, I'm certainly not going to refrain from asking those questions. Anna Wintour, editor in chief of American 'Vogue' and probably the most influential figure in the fashion industry, arrived at the Met Gala 2011 yesterday wearing the most dazzling Chanel Couture gown I've seen in ages. The dress, fully-sequined, forms part of Chanel's Spring 2011 collection. However, as shown in the picture, Wintour's dress is slightly modified. Whilst the sand and lilac ombre detailing and the black hem have been kept, Wintour's dress has added sleeves, giving the dress a more chic and regal flair. I love the silver detaling down the middle front of the dress, and I believe it gives it a lengthening effect. Obviously, I have to point out that Wintour's dress is a clear and gorgeous example of colour-blocking, a trend which is incredibly popular this Spring!
I love it when Wintour decides to swap her more conservative frocks for something more daring like this. She truly is the queen of the fashion industry. *KNEELS DOWN AND ADORES WINTOUR*
