Happy Birthday, Anna!

Dear Readers,

I have to admit, this morning I woke up asking myself, 'Why don't I have Anna Wintour's phone number?' and 'Why doesn't she have a Facebook profile?'. Why, you ask? Well because today Anna Wintour turns 62 years old and I would have loved to send her my sincere birthday wishes.

You all know by now that I have an insane admiration for this woman. She's like my mentor, someone I would trade lives with any time. I would probably die of happiness if I were to see her live. I probably will meet her one day, since I plan on taking over Vogue very soon. *dreams*

But, in the meantime, until she realises that I exist, all I can do is write about how awesome she is. When I woke up this morning, I saw a post over at Styleite which listed ten reasons why we should love Anna. So, here I am, doing mine too.

I love Anna because:

1. She scares us all yet we admire her anyway. She's like my mum, well not really, but similar. 
2. She hangs out with Karl Lagerfeld and Grace Coddington. She doesn't like Kanye West. 
3. She has sacrificed everything for fashion. I know this sounds harsh, but I would do the same.
4. She's cold. I relate to that a lot.
5. She knows what she wants and she gets it.
6. She's powerful. She runs the fashion industry and unless you have her blessing, you don't get anywhere.
7. This quote, 'Where is the glamour? This is Vogue!' and this, 'Some women aren't meant to be tamed'. Oh, and this one too, 'There is something about fashion that can make people really nervous'. Love the last one in particular.
8. She can laugh at herself but doesn't make fun of herself. Perfect combination.
9. She likes new talent. Hello Anna, can you see me?
10. American Vogue. Enough said.

So, dear Anna, I hope you're having a lovely day in Japan (yes, I stalk Anna's every move okay!) and may we all live under your fashion rule for another 62 years!
