Allow me to give you an insight into some of the very amusing things I did today. I woke up, ate breakfast, went for a walk, went for a drive, felt happy it was cold and watched 'The Muppet Christmas Carol' for the nine-hundredth time. The latter inspired this post, as you can probably tell.
Now, you should all know that I never ever watch a movie without some sort of notebook by my side. Why? Well, to write some outfit ideas of course. Believe it or not, even the puppets I loved so much during my childhood gave me a couple of ideas that I'm sharing with you in this post.
Gonzo Chic
During one of the early scenes of the movie, we meet Gonzo, otherwise known as the 'one with the big nose'. I was particularly inspired by the colour palette that our dear narrator had in this specific scene. Maroon - or burgundy, call it what you prefer I guess - is used extensively in the film, probably because it's such a festive colour, and it is combined ever so interestingly with many different colours. Most colours, I wouldn't have even dreamt of pairing it with. In this case, I love the brown, maroon and navy blue combination.
Le Kerm
You do realise that I'm really enjoying coming up with these subtitles right? Anyway, a few scenes later our favourite frog in the whole wide world appears in a very interesting combination dare I say. Rust, Scottish plaid and grey. The look has genius written all over it. I'm also loving the way white was used to bring some lightness to the palette.
Gonzitis
Whereas that subtitle might seem like I'm alluding to a famous Maltese political figure, I'm actually making reference to him, yes, Gonzo again! By far the best dressed puppet in the movie, Gonzo also sports a fabulous combination halfway through the movie. Red and white stripes and mustard! Whereas I hesitate to say that Gonzo and I are on the same wavelength - because I included a red/white/mustard look in my 'five days in my wardrobe' video here - I could say that we have similar tastes. I feel slightly awkward now.
I hope you all had a lovely Christmassy weekend, just a week to go now!
