I try to avoid being a blogger who feels knowledgeable enough to boss people around, telling them what and what not to wear. Moreover, I always encourage everyone to wear whatever defines them, but then be confident enough to face negative criticism (mine included). Why am I saying all of this? Well, I've been asked to identify the 'it' shoe of the moment - something like the 'must-have shoe' - and announce it here on my blog. Whilst I feel flattered that some of you rely on my opinion very faithfully, keep in mind that it's okay to think I'm wrong!
Anyway. I strongly believe that when spotting a 'must-have' item, that piece must be available to most people. That is a factor which largely influenced my choice. Dear Readers, my 'it' shoe is the 'toe cap shoe': flats, heels, boots and the like with a distinctly accentuated toe cap in a different colour, texture or pattern.
Whilst admitting that I'm largely uninformed about the way the blogosphere feels about these shoes, I've personally noted an increase in the number stocked in leading online and local stores. Something about that toe cap draws me to the shoe style. I decided that it's because I wore solely Converse-style shoes (yes, the ones with the toe cap) for many years. Is it nostalgia kicking in?
This shoe trend (or lack of it?) is something I'm looking very closely into.

I hope it does become a trend become I love it!
