At the Pier

Last weekend was a strange one. I was only in London (for an entire day) on Saturday and due to a lot of errands I had planned for the day, my recreational time was severely limited. Luckily, I was in central London (a very sunny Central London might I add!) for one of the projects planned for the day, so the day didn't turn out to be too shabby.

The obligations of the day required me to wear something comfortable and French-inspired. At the same time, I had to ensure I didn't melt down in this once-in-a-blue-moon heat wave in London. Nothing says comfort and France more than my simple H&M striped top with gold buttons. Instead of pairing this frequently worn top with my usual black capris, I went for a red pair that I had never worn (mainly because I had put on a bit of weight and they wouldn't fit properly, lawl!). The result was a nautical look, hence why we chose to shoot the outfit at the pier in between London Bridge and Charing Cross.

Finishing off the look are a plain pair of black flats as well as a minimal (and gorgeous!) black clutch I thrifted from a local charity shop. I swear Zara had something similar in brown this season. So simple, so me.
