Ten Fun Things To Do Before a Night Out

Dear Readers,

If there's one thing I love about night outs, it's the 'getting ready' stage. As you might expect me to do, I spend literally hours getting ready, choosing clothes and rummaging through my lipstick collection to find the perfect shade. I can honestly admit that I usually have more fun getting ready than during the night out itself. It's strange, I know.

Since it's a Saturday and consequently many of us will be out clubbing or running around town, I thought of sharing some fun things I do before going out. Here's hoping many of you will start enjoying getting ready as much as I do. That would make me feel normal.

  1. Paint your nails. FUN! Relax and spend a lot of time deciding which colour you should choose.
  2. Blast your music. Well, preferably cheesy, fun music or anything that makes you feel like a woman. That doesn't imply you should listen to Shania Twain.
  3. Watch a chick flick. You know, something like 'Confessions of a Shopaholic' or 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'. You might also enjoy watching an episode from 'Sex and the City' or 'Will and Grace'. Gotta love the latter!
  4. Get ready with a friend. Oh, the more the merrier, right? Share make-up tips and dance around to cheesy music together.
  5. Don't leave it all to the last minute. Relax. Take it easy. But, don't waste time. I mean, don't take your shower 15 minutes before leaving.
  6. Experiment with make-up. Watch a good make-up tutorial on YouTube and try to recreate the look. Just make sure you don't experiment when it's too late to remove your make-up when you end up looking like a clown. It happens to all of us, don't worry!
  7. Curl your hair. Curls are fun! Unless you have to live with them everyday, that is.
  8. Prepare a cocktail. We all like cocktails. Make sure you're not too drunk before getting ready though!
  9. Take a photo of your outfit. Then post it on LookBook.nu or send it to me to post on my blog!
  10. Eat Macaroons. Or anything that tickles your fancy. Don't eat too much, or you might feel bloated!
HAPPY WEEKEND READERS :)

  1. Getting ready is always fun! I do a lot of these things at once; drink a cocktail, blast music, get ready with a friend....I've never eaten a macaroon while getting ready though.
