Today was a rather boring day. My allergies are still giving me a hard time - I should be okay by tomorrow though. It all usually lasts 2 days - and I didn't get to leave the house. I was, however, pleasantly surprised by the postman when he got our mail today. I received three fab handmade goodies from an online jewellery shop called 'Through The Looking Glass' (you can find the items on this Facebook Fanpage) and they totally made my day.
Rebecca, the creative lady behind this overdose of prettiness, kindly asked me to select three pieces from her various collections to share with you all. It was quite tasking to narrow down my choice to three items, but I'm really happy with the pieces I finally settled for.
I don't know whether you are like me, but as far as I'm concerned, packaging really matters, especially when I buy jewellery online. Ideally, you'd want your items to arrive in one piece, right? Apart from the really dainty little fabric pouches, these jewellery items came in a bubble wrap envelope which cushioned them from the evil postman's mighty squeeze (random...). As you can see in these photos, packaging-wise, the items are more than appropriate to gift to your lady relatives or friends! Oh, and I love the little hand at the corner that says 'hand made'.
Now, on to the pieces themselves. The first item is a pair of drop-pearl earrings with gold details from the 'Goldmember' collection. I fell in love with these earrings the moment I saw them! Very subtle yet noticeable: winner! Apart from their versatility, I really appreciate the way they're going to make my messy bun hairstyle look more put together.
I was also drawn to an adjustable ring from the 'In Bloom' collection. You can never have enough floral inspired pieces can you? My fingers are quite small - blessing? curse? I dunno! - so I was glad to see that the ring adjusted very well to my finger size. I really hate it when rings are too big!
The final piece is a pendant from the 'Little Polly Pocket had a Pretty Locket' collection. I'm a sucker for swallows, so I just had to get this piece! I like how the necklace has details on the chain as well. I find it gives it something extra. Oh, and for those days when I feel like wearing a shorter necklace, I can easily wrap it around twice to shorten the chain. Yay!
Needless to say, the price of these pieces is ridiculously cheap. Earrings and ring cost 3 euro, whereas the necklace is sold for 6.50 euro. For such low prices, the quality is impressive!
I plan to feature all of the items in future OOTD posts so keep your eyes peeled. In the meantime, you can check out all the lovely items on the 'Through The Looking Glass' Facebook Page and let me know whether you like anything in particular. Thank you to Rebecca once again!
