This is one of those few times where I'm so speechless I can't even write my feelings down. Please look at some of my favourite designs from the Balenciaga SS2013 collection and tell me whether you can resist the urge to hyperventilate. Whereas, as you can safely assume by now, those waterfall skirts are really not my cup of tea, I'm head over heels with the waisted tailored trousers as well as as the bib-style crop tops. I could live in those for a lifetime. I'm not a fan of suits, but now I might even try one with a midriff-baring top underneath. Call it 'The Balenciaga Effect'.
After a show like this, I'd usually look up towards the heavens and ask dramatically, 'why, oh why wasn't it me sitting next to Anna Wintour?'. In this case I'm more thankful than desperate because I spared Holy Anna the need to pick up my jaw from the floor. That would have been a really awkward conversation starter...
