Christmas Gift Ideas for Him

Dear Readers,

I love shopping. For myself. Luckily I don't have a lot of Christmas shopping to do at this time of year, because I find it a painstakingly tasking activity, especially if you're shopping for the opposite sex. Whether you're trying to find something for your dad, your brother, a friend, and even your boyfriend, the task can get a little bit tricky. I thought that sharing some Christmas gift ideas might be useful for anyone who's basically lost for ideas.

Gifts for Men

Gadgets and Co.
Generally, guys tend to like gadgets. Whether it's their phone, their car stereo or their tablets, these technological devices have the power of hypnotising them (and some girls too, mind you, I'm one of them). Maybe getting them an add-on for their favourite device would do. A pair of big headphones for a music lover or an iPad case for the Apple savvy are good ideas. If you want to go ahead and splurge, some 'cheap' options include the little iPod Nano and the Kindle.

A Book?
Not all guys like reading, granted. But they should enjoy a book about their favourite sports team, television show, or idol. If the guy is an avid reader, then try and find out which book he has been thinking about buying and get it for him. Or else, find out which genre he enjoys and look for similar books on a website like Book Depositary.

Skin Care
Most guys are know are more vain than they would like to be, but they're too proud to walk into a store and buy some basic skin care products. Guys, you're going to get wrinkles too. Flaky skin doesn't look good on you either! Dry hands aren't attractive, just saying. Do the guy a favour and buy him some basic skin care products, that doesn't involve the cliche after-shave cream or lotion. Pick a face-wash and a moisturiser - make sure you get them from a men's line! - or a hand cream for someone who uses his hands extensively on the place of work!

A Game
Kinda obvious, but get a game for a guy who likes them. I suggest grabbing one that you enjoy too. At least, if you end up playing for hours on a Sunday afternoon, you'll sulk a bit less. I'm not very acquainted with games, but if I had to buy this gift for a guy I'd ask his friends for suggestions. Preferably, ask the dudes he plays those games with on a Sunday afternoon whilst you down one nacho after another wishing you were out in the sun.

A Christmas Jumper
I secretly wish I could give Christmas jumpers to everyone on Christmas day so that we could all wear them and look like Santa's elves. What fun! New Look have a really Christmassy one in red with little snowflake details that I adore (and intend to buy too). If the guy is not as 'fashion-forward', then get him a plain jumper, or even better, a blazer! Preferably in grey, blue or black because that will always come handy. Oh, and one final thing, girlfriends should seize the opportunity at Christmas time. Get him something you want him to wear. It's a good excuse to politely 'alter' his style. He's not going to break your heart and ignore the jumper you chose oh so lovingly for him, would he?

For all those who want to buy something for a girl, stay tuned, it's the subject of tomorrow's post!
