I wish I recorded the squeal I let out when I found an email from La Redoute asking me whether I wanted to collaborate with them. It was, as cool teenagers say nowadays, rather 'epic'. French retail giant wants me - rather clumsy young woman from tiny island called Malta - to feature them on my blog. One of the highlights of my Summer!
It took me ages to select a piece to have sent over. The uncertainty took me back to those days I spent flicking through the pages of La Redoute catalogues, secretly wishing my mother would order everything in it! After a couple of hours, I narrowed down my choice to two pieces: either a pair of coloured brogues or a pair of polka dotted chinos. The latter won, as you can see.
I know. I need to cut down on the spots. In fact, I've banned myself from purchasing similar items in the near future (excluding that blouse I bought on eBay this week, oops!). White polka dots set against a black background may be boring for some, but they're timeless to me. I know I'll be wearing these trousers often because even though I wouldn't exactly file them in the 'subtle' category, I still think they're incredibly wearable and versatile. The fabric is also surprisingly breathable and light.
Don't forget to log on the La Redoute website and check out the sale section...it's ridiculous! Thank you once again for choosing me for a collaboration.
